Discus of Polydamas is a turn-based, tactical, strategy game with puzzle and sokoban elements. Our hero must battle through the labyrinths of ancient Greece with the aid of throwing discuses imbued with magical powers.

Theme of LoJam 2024 - "Obstacles don't block the path, they are the path."

  • Movement: Numpad <1-9> or <WASD> (with diagonals <QEZC>)
  • Skills: <1-3>
  • Selection: <Enter>/<Space>/<NUM Enter>
  • Targetting Cancel: <Backspace>, <ESC> or <NUM 5>
  • Press <Backspace> or <Esc> for in-game menu
  • NOTE: <ESC> does not work in full-screen mode

LoJam 2024 notes:

  • IMPORTANT: some notes on the web browser version:
    • It can take a few minutes to load without giving a lot of visual feedback that it's actually loading!
    • pygbag targeting pygame to Web Assembly is basically black magic to me and I don't fully understand it. Anyways, I think it's still a fairly new project, so if you experience any issues with the web version on your OS or browser (performance or otherwise), let me know and I can try to get you a build to target your system.
